The mission statement describes of the organization's purpose, customer's products or services, markets, philosophy, and basic technology.
Vision is especially important for managers and executives in any organization.
Mission is important for stakeholders of the organization.
A vision statement should answer the basic questions, what do we want to become.
A mission statement answers the basic question, what is our business?
A clear vision statement provides the foundation for developing a comprehensive mission statement.
Mission statement is a declaration of attitude and outlook.
The vision statement should be established first and foremost.
Mission statement generates the impression that a firm is successful, has direction, and is worthy of time, support and investment from all socio-economic groups of people.
The vision statement should be short, preferable specific wording.
Mission statement should not too lengthy, recommended length is less than 200 words.
